After almost 15 years of promoting the creative power of the arts in thousands of children, youth and adults of all abilities throughout Vermont, Very Special Arts Vermont (VSAVT) announces its new name - VSA Arts of Vermont.

Since its inception in 1986, VSA Arts of Vermont has witnessed the rapid advancement of members of the disability community and their expanded opportunities for accessible educational and employment opportunities through the arts. Recognizing this evolution, VSA Arts of Vermont has changed its name to more accurately represent its constituents.

The letters VSA, which has stood for Very Special Arts, now stand for Vision of an inclusive community, Strength in shared resources and Artistic expression that unites us all. The mission of VSA Arts of Vermont remains the same: to bring the power of the arts to Vermonters of all abilities.
