TREY ANASTASIO SWIMS SOLO TO BENEFIT VSAVT

Phish guitarist, Trey Anastasio, played a benefit concert at Winooski's Higher Ground Music Hall on Monday, February 15th to benefit VSAVT. More than 600 people attended, with tickets selling out in just a few hours. Thought by many (certainly in our office) to be the nonprofit fundraising event of the year, Trey debuted a solo acoustic set that he would play a few weeks later at Carnegie Hall. Joined for a second electric set by Russ Lawton on drums and Tony Markellis on bass, the joint was literally jumping by the end of the night. A wonderful time was had by all and over $7,500 was raised for VSAVT's free arts programs. Our most heartfelt thanks to our own Carrie MacKillop and Higher Ground's Kevin Statesir for arranging this memorable event. Also our thanks to Beth Montouri, Jason Colton and everyone at Dionysian Productions and the wonderful staff of Higher Ground.
