FREE Drumming Classes for Deaf or Hard of Hearing Vermonters

In coordination with performances by visiting deaf musician, Dame Evelyn Glennie – renowned composer and the world’s first solo percussionist – VSA Vermont and the Community Engagement Lab are offering two short series of drumming classes.

Classes are:

  • For people of all ages who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, and their families. Attendance is free for all participants.
  • April 4, 6, and 8, 6-8pm in Burlington (Burlington Taiko), or
  • April 5 & 7 from 5:30-7:30pm and April 9 from 7-9pm in Montpelier at the Vermont College of Fine Arts
  • ASL interpretation provided, along with drums and equipment. Instruction will be by Stuart Paton of Burlington Taiko.
